Die Zunahme antisemitischer Vorfälle in Europa hat durch die jüngere Zuwanderung aus islamischen Ländern eine neue Dimension erreicht. In öffentlichen und medialen Diskursen rückt dabei immer wieder die Rolle von Imamen und praktizierenden Muslim*innen in den Fokus. Dieses Buch beleuchtet die theologischen und historischen Hintergründe jüdisch-muslimischer Beziehungen und analysiert potenziell islamistisch geprägte Einstellungen gegenüber dem Judentum, Jüdinnen und Juden sowie dem Staat Israel. Am Beispiel Österreichs wurden hierzu qualitative Interviews mit 33 Imamen und 64 Moscheebesucherinnen geführt und ihre Aussagen anhand der Antisemitismusdefinition der International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) ausgewertet.
