Wie wird Gewalt gegen Kinder und Jugendliche durch Fachkräfte in pädagogischen Institutionen verschwiegen? In der vorliegenden Studie geht es um ein Team der stationären Eingliederungshilfe, das systematische Gewalt unter Berufung auf ein behaviorales Gruppenkonzept jahrelang als Therapie legitimierte. Aus narrativen Interviews und dem Übergabebuch des Teams werden Entstehungskontexte und Praktiken rekonstruiert und mit einer Heuristik des Schweigens analysiert. Die Befunde zeigen Möglichkeiten zur Verschleierung von Machtmissbrauch und Gewalt in etablierten Arbeitsformen wie der Dokumentation und der Elternarbeit. Sie verdeutlichen auch, dass routinierte Schweigepraktiken Aufdeckungsmomente in Organisationen überdauern können.
