ZunÃ¤chst werden die ideologischen und politischen Vorbedingungen der Zusammenarbeit erÃ¶rtert, anschlieÃŸend Projekte analysiert, welche von beiden Akteuren zusammen verwirklicht wurden, sowie sein Werdegang darin nachgezeichnet. Letztendlich findet eine Verortung Amin al-Husseinis innerhalb religionssoziologischer Theorien (zu Islam und Moderne sowie Ã¼bergeordnet Religion und Politik) statt. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass Amin al-Husseini heute nicht leichtfertig als Beispiel eines religiÃ¶sen Vertreters des Islam herangezogen werden sollte und er auch nicht jene ideologische Reichweite hatte, die ihm in einer Vielzahl aktueller VerÃ¶ffentlichungen zugeschrieben wird. Daher plÃ¤diert das Buch aus einem religionssoziologischen Blickwinkel fÃ¼r mehr Sachlichkeit in Bezugnahme auf seine Person innerhalb derzeitiger Debatten um Islam und Demokratie/Politik.
