Die Psalterhandschrift Arundel 155 ist ein herausragendes Zeugnis der spätangelsächsischen Kultur. Sie entstand zwischen 1012 und 1023 im Kathedralkloster von Canterbury. Im Zentrum dieser Arbeit steht die erste Gesamtedition der Sammlung von 40 lateinischen Privatgebeten und ihrer altenglischen Interlinearglossierung am Ende der Handschrift. Zugleich ist es die erste Auseinandersetzung mit der Handschrift in ihrer gesamten Komplexität. In ihrem liturgischen Inhalt, ihrer Schrift, ihrem Buchschmuck und der Sprache der altenglischen Glossierung spiegeln sich sowohl Eigenheiten von Christ Church und Canterbury als auch Einflüsse vom Kontinent und aus Winchester wider. Arundel 155 und sein Libellus precum erweisen sich als beispielhaftes Werk der angelsächsischen Benediktinerreform.
