Im Januar 2011 feierte Edeltraud Werner, seit 1994 Professorin für Französische und Italienische Sprachwissenschaft, ihren 60. Geburtstag. Herausbildung, Wandel und soziokulturelle Wahrnehmung wichtiger europäischer Standardsprachen (Deutsch, Englisch, Französisch, Latein, Russisch) werden unter theoretischen und anwendungsbezogenen Gesichtspunkten beschrieben.
