Konstante Wahlerfolge haben die Aufmerksamkeit der Forschung immer wieder auf die französische extrême droite gelenkt. Die Suche nach Gründen für den Zuspruch zum Front national führt auch zu einer Beschäftigung mit der Sprachverwendung der Politiker. Gegenstand der Studie ist ein zentrales Charakteristikum dieser Sprachverwendung: die Bildung und der Gebrauch markierter, d.h. ideologiespezifischer Wortgebildetheiten. Die Auswertung basiert auf einem Korpus, das neben Parteitexten die wichtigsten rechtsradikalen Zeitungen Frankreichs umfassend berücksichtigt. Die formale, semantische, funktionale und strategische Analyse der zahlreichen Beispiele gibt grundlegende Aufschlüsse über die Instrumentalisierung von Wortbildung im Rahmen persuasiver Strategien.
