Der Gegenstand dieser intertextuellen monographischen Studie sind die musikalische Postmoderne und das musikalische und theoretische Gebiet zwischen dem Ende der Moderne und der Rückkehr zu einigen ihrer Elemente. Das Verhältnis zur Tradition in der europäischen Musik nach der Avantgarde stellt die generative methodologische Basis des theoretischen Zutritts zum Phänomen der Postmoderne dar. Dieses Phänomen wird unter dem Gesichtspunkt des musikalischen Paradigmas erörtert, das theoretisch und analytisch als musikalisches Muster, Modell und Vorbild angewendet wird. Die Dynamik der Beziehungen zwischen verschiedenen möglichen Formen ihrer postmodernen Materialisierung wird in diesem Buch als jenes Niveau des Komponierens begriffen, bei dem es um eine Umdeutungserkennung geht: es kommt zur Umdeutung des ästhesischen Prozesses zum poietischen Prozeß und umgekehrt.
