Die vorliegende Untersuchung bietet eine umfangreiche und eingehende Analyse der Rezeption des Konzils in der baskischen Diözese Bilbao. Neben der historischen Beschreibung der Rezeptionsvorschriften ist das Hauptanliegen der Arbeit ein ekklesiologisches, nämlich die Betonung jener charakteristischen Züge im Kirchenbild, die sich als Ergebnis des konkreten Rezeptionsvorgangs herausgestellt haben.
