Neben wahrnehmungstheoretischen Aspekten sowie anatomischen, psycho-physikalischen und physiologischen Daten zum Integument werden deshalb Konzeptionen zur mechano- und elektrokutanen Transformation vorgestellt, denen sich Verfahren und Resultate eigener Untersuchungen mit dem artikulationsorientierten System zur elektrischen Hautreizung (SEHR) anschließen.
