The present volume Organoiron Compounds B 15 systematically covers the literature through the end of 1987 and includes additional references from 1988. The volume continues Series B (volumes B 1 to B 14 already published) on the mononuclear organoiron compounds; Series A (volumes A 1 to A 8 already published) is devoted to the ferrocenes and Series C (volumes C 1 to C 5 and C 7 already published) treats organoiron compounds with two or Fe atoms in the molecule. The present volume B 15 deals in the mainpart with cations of the type A 5LFe(CO)3Aoe+. These cations are easily obtained from tricarbonyl(diene)iron complexes, and substitution reactions of the 5L ligand with nucleophiles have attracted considerable interest. Smaller sections are dedicated to compounds containing CS or isocyanide ligands with a 5L ligand, which is generally C5H5. The volume is completed by a formula and ligand index.
