Dieser Band stellt die politischen Kerninstitutionen Polens vor und behandelt die Dynamik ihrer Interaktionen. Er beleuch­tet die Rolle zentraler gesellschaftlicher Akteure wie der Katholischen Kirche, analysiert die wichtigsten gesellschaftlichen Konfliktlinien und zeigt Entwicklungstendenzen des politischen Systems vor dem Hinter­grund einer sich rapide modernisierenden Gesellschaft auf.
