Ausgebildet in Karlsruhe, ist ihre Arbeit zunächst von sachlicher Präzision geprägt. Mit der Übersiedlung nach Berlin entfernt sie sich von dem strengen neusachlichen Zeichenstil. Die mit Pinsel und Feder in Tusche ausgeführten, oft autobiografischen Arbeiten werden formal komplexer und malerischer, wobei der Eindruck dieser sogenannten „Dunklen Blätter"" ganz den gewählten erzählerisch und symbolhaft aufgeladenen Themen entspricht. Der Fokus von Ausstellung und Katalog liegen auf den Arbeiten der 92 er- und frühen 93 er-Jahre.
