Wie kann das Politische der â€šengagierten Literaturâ€˜ der Nachkriegszeit gefasst werden? Weder der Verweis auf den Begriff â€šEngagementâ€˜ noch die Auflistung der Diskurse, in denen sich die Nachkriegsliteratur politisch positioniert hat, beantwortet diese Frage. Die vorliegende Studie entwickelt auf der Grundlage von Pierre Bourdieus Feldtheorie einen literatursoziologischen Autorschaftsbegriff und zeigt auf, wie die Inszenierung von Autorschaft der Literatur eine politische Funktion zuschreibt. FÃ¼r die Legitimation ihrer Literatur greifen â€šengagierteâ€˜ Autorinnen und Autoren in ihren literarischen Texten auf gesellschaftlich anerkannte Kulturmuster zurÃ¼ck. Von der Kirchenkritik der 1950er- bis zur apokalyptischen Rhetorik der 1980er-Jahre beziehen sie sich in diesem Sinne insbesondere auf religiÃ¶se Motive, Narrative und Diskurse. Erst die Analyse der von der literaturwissenschaftlichen Forschung bislang lediglich am Rande thematisierten Funktion der Religion fÃ¼r politische Autorschaft erlaubt es, den politischen Gehalt der Nachkriegsliteratur ganz zu erschlieÃŸen.
