An dieses höchste Prinzip, in dem Aristoteles die Ontologie, die Theologie und die Noologie vereinigt, knüpft Hegel in seiner Lehre von der absoluten Idee und des absoluten Geistes ausdrücklich an. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird zum ersten Mal dieser beeindruckende Rückgriff auf Aristoteles einer umfassenden historisch-systematischen Analyse unterzogen. Dabei ist die Fragestellung leitend, ob und, wenn ja, inwiefern Hegel berechtigt ist, seine eigene Metaphysik des Geistes bei Aristoteles präfiguriert zu sehen.
