Die Ausgabe der kleineren Dichtungen Heinrichs von Mügeln wird mit diesem Band abgeschlossen. Hiermit liegt die Sangspruchdichtung eines der wichtigsten Dichter des 14. Jahrhunderts zum ersten Mal vollständig vor. Außerdem bietet der Band zwei lateinische Texte Mügelns: 'Artes liberales' und 'Libri tocius biblie', zwei Summarien über die Freien Künste und die Bücher des Alten Testaments. Kernstück des Bandes ist 'Der meide kranz', ein allegorisches Gedicht über den Rangstreit der Freien Künste untereinander sowie der Tugenden mit der Natur, verfaßt zu Ehren Kaiser Karls IV. Namen- und Wortverzeichnis erschließen die gesamte Ausgabe und bilden damit einen wesentlichen Schlüssel zum OEuvre des Autors.
