| book description |

From the subtle textures of black-and-white etchings to luminous, colorful monotypes, this beautiful book showcases an artist's considerable achievements in printmaking. One of the foremost artists of his generation, Christopher Le Brun (b. 1951) emerged as an incredible talent in the early 1980s in Britain. Since then, his early work has been exhibited around the world, including a 2004 solo show at the Marlborough Chelsea Gallery in New York and numerous group shows at major museums. This handsome and substantial volume brings together his complete prints to date: etchings, woodcuts, lithographs, and monotypes. Noted curator and art historian Jeremy Lewison discusses the themes within Le Brun's work and the various techniques and mediums the artist has used, showing the central role that printmaking plays within Le Brun's creative practice.
