First opened in 2000, Tate Modern is acclaimed worldwide as the pre-eminent gallery of modern and contemporary art. The texts, written by Tate curators, offer a summary of the career of each artist as well as a description of the work, while a glossary outlines the pivotal moments and places in the history of modern art.
