Various approaches have been explored for this purpose, such as sorbents, chemical precipitation, and traditional membrane separation. However, these methods often suffer from inadequate selectivity and low pollutant uptake. Developing water-stable MOFs is the key to advancing effective water purification techniques, but the primary challenge lies in crafting MOF structures that can maintain their stability when exposed to water.
