| book description |
Fusee 4 is the Key Stage 4 part of the Fusee French course and is due to publish in April 2002. The two-tiered book is designed to be used with any exam board for the new GCSE specifications. To tie the course more closely in with the particular specification chosen by each school, there will be three separate Fusee 4 Assessment Packs, one for each of the three main boards, to be used alongside both levels of Fusee 4 (Foundation and Higher). The material will be written by the main authors, Genevieve Talon and Alan Wesson, in consultation with examiners from each of the boards. Each pack will contain a 112-page photocopiable booklet and an accompanying cassette of listening material. The booklet will feature four sets of practice activities -- one for every 5 units of the book -- at Foundation and Higher levels (including overlap material), covering the four skills of Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, as well as suggestions for coursework opportunities. There will also be teacher's notes, giving answers, mark schemes and transcripts to the activities as appropriate.
