I-c@fe CD-ROMS: Part 1: French CD-ROM

By (author) Marie-Therese Bougard

| book description |

This CD-ROM contains the six issues of the I-c@fe francais magazine from 2004 and is packed with articles and topics that will appeal to teenagers learning French. It provides an extensive bank of reading resources in an attractive and appealing format to encourage students to read French and practise a variety of reading skills. Each article has an associated activity with instant feedback, while the accompanying glossaries and help documents mean that students will be able to work independently and track their own progress. The strong cultural element is a good way of integrating culture into lessons, as recommended in the Framework. The reading level of articles in I-c@fe is indicated by colour-coding (green for basic, blue for intermediate and red for advanced). Generally, basic articles are aimed at learners with 1-3 years of learning, and intermediate/advanced at learners with 3-5 years. However, students of all ages and levels have read and derived pleasure from I-c@fe's eclectic and lively approach.
