| book description |
This complete Key Stage 3 Religious Education programme was developed by the National Project and published with the authority of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales. There are three students' books and three packs of practical photocopiable teaching resources to provide a complete RE course with structure and progression across the whole Key Stage. Whilst Christianity provides the context and focus for each book, aspects of other world faiths are covered where appropriate. Each book contains three units which each cover five key areas - Jesus Christ, Human Person, Church, Liturgical Year and Sacraments. In each unit, one of these areas is given prominence and becomes a way in to studying the other four, with each aspect being approached through a three-fold process - research, revelation and response. Both teachers and students are provided with specific aims for each section. The three Teaching Resources provide a scheme of work for each year. Half of each teacher's book is devoted to photocopiable materials designed to provide practical help with differentiation and assessment.
